CHP Officer Hospitalized After Fairfield Crash on West Texas Street

Fairfield, California (April 19, 2022) – Authorities are investigating a Monday afternoon traffic accident that left a CHP officer injured in Fairfield.
The crash occurred at about 1:00 p.m., on April 18, on eastbound West Texas Street.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a delivery truck was traveling on the roadway when it crashed into the back of a patrol car. The truck driver told the officers that he had fallen asleep.
As a result of the crash impact, the cruiser was reportedly pushed into the car in front of it.
CHP Officer Injured in Fairfield Crash
The CHP officer complained of neck and back pain and was hospitalized for treatment.
Drugs or alcohol were not suspected of having played a role in the accident.
