Christopher Brasket Injured in San Luis Obispo Accident on Highway 101

San Luis Obispo, Calif. – Christopher Brasket, 52, was injured in a deadly crash involving a suspected DUI motorist in San Luis Obispo Saturday night, the California Highway Patrol said.

The wreck took place on Highway 101, just north of Prado Road at about 11:30 p.m. on March 2.

According to the report, 21-year-old Jace Haro, of San Luis Obispo, was behind the wheel of a 2013 Dodge Challenger traveling northbound on Highway 101 when he went off the roadway, hit a light pole, and slammed into a nearby homeless encampment.

Two people were inside the encampment, and one of them, a 45-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The other occupant, identified as Brasket, complained of pain to his arm.

Haro was treated for a moderate injury to his hand and was later arrested and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for DUI charges.

The investigation into the accident is ongoing.
