Christopher Smith Dies in Palo Alto Work Accident on University Avenue
Palo Alto, California (August 28, 2022) – Christopher Paul Smith, 43, of Antioch, was killed in a work-related accident that occurred early Wednesday morning in Palo Alto, according to the Palo Alto Police Department.
The deadly accident happened just before 12:34 a.m. on August 24, at 525 University Avenue.
Smith was at a construction site when he fell down a shaft at a 15-story building.
Emergency crews responded to the scene and attended to Smith. He was then rushed to a hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
The incident is under investigation by the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health.
