3, Including Suspect Driver Hospitalized after Chula Vista Crash at Hilltop Drive and E. H Street
Chula Vista, California (January 28, 2022) – Three people, including a suspect driver, were hospitalized after a crash that happened Thursday morning at an intersection in Chula Vista, as per a local news source.
Police in Chula Vista received a call from a witness about a male driver who was recklessly driving on the city streets.
Officers located the driver and attempted to pull him over, but he fled at high speed.
At around 9:50 a.m., the driver ran a red light at Hilltop Drive and E. H Street, crashing into a red car. Both vehicles ended up on the southeast corner of the intersection.
The red car was occupied by the male driver and his elderly mother, who was already suffering from a broken arm, which was in a cast.
The suspect driver was freed from his vehicle, and all three were taken to local hospitals with unspecified injuries.
