Claudia Recoba Cruz Among 3 Injured in Clark County Crash on Highway 503

Clark County, Wash. – Claudia Recoba Cruz, 46, of Oregon City, Oregon, was one of three people injured in a collision in Clark County on Saturday night, according to the Washington State Patrol.

The wreck happened at about 9:20 p.m. January 27, on state Highway 503 at Padden Parkway in the Orchards area.

According to the WSP, Thomas P. Chirokov, 28, of Vancouver, was driving a 2019 Dodge Charger south on State Highway 503 when he went across the center barrier and collided head-on with an oncoming 2013 Nissan driven by Salvador V. Guiterrez, 55, of Oregon City, Ore.

The Nissan was then struck from behind by a 2012 Ford Focus driven by Yonya M. Deshiell, 43, of Vancouver.

The report said that Salvador Gutierrez and two of his passengers, Claudia Recoba Cruz, and Elizabeth Gutierrez, 18, of Oregon City, Oregon, were taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. 

A 17-year-old in the Nissan was not injured.

No other injuries were reported.

The WSP said Chirokov faces charges of eluding and vehicular assault following the incident.

The investigation is ongoing.
