19-Year-Old Teen Killed in Fresno Collision on Temperance Avenue near North Avenue

, California (April 7, 2022) – A teen was killed in a collision early Wednesday morning in Fresno, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The incident happened at about 12:45 a.m. on Temperance Avenue near North Avenue.

An SUV traveling north on Temperance Avenue failed to stop at the intersection and was hit on the passeger side by another vehicle.

A passenger in the SUV was ejected and died in the collision.

The driver of the SUV, Benjamin Villa Fuerte, 48, sustained minor injuries.

The other motorist, identified as Moises Mendoza, 21, of Fresno, sustained major injuries and was taken to Community Regional Medical Center.

Impairment was not suspected to be a factor in the collision.

The incident is under investigation.
