16-Year-old Boy Dies in Concord Car Crash at Galindo Street and Clayton Road

Concord, California (February 26, 2022) – A 16-year-old boy died in a multi-vehicle collision that happened Friday afternoon at an intersection in Concord, according to authorities.
The incident occurred at about 3:35 p.m. at Galindo Street and Clayton Road.
Concord police officers who responded to the scene said the accident involved the boy, who they said was a pedestrian, a work truck, and other vehicles.
The boy died of his injuries at the scene.
The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District had earlier said that the teen was riding a bicycle when he was pinned between one of the vehicles and a tree.
Officers arrested one of the drivers, who now faces vehicular manslaughter charges.
The identities of the deceased and the suspect driver were not mentioned.
