Two vehicles collided, and debris from the crash hit a construction employee working nearby
Vista, Calif. – A construction worker was hospitalized after being struck by debris from a traffic collision that happened Friday morning in Vista, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The accident occurred around 10:44 a.m. on westbound State Route 78 near Sycamore Avenue and Las Posas Road.
A red Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and a silver sedan collided for an unknown reason.
The truck went off the roadway over a fence on the Las Posas Road off-ramp.
A construction employee who was working nearby was hit by debris from the crash. The worker was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.
It was unclear if the occupants of the vehicles were injured.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the collision.
