Fresno, CA. – 53-year-old Consuelo Cordova De Hernandez of Riverdale has been identified by the Fresno County Coroner's Office as the man who died in a car crash on Monday afternoon in Fresno.
The fatal collision happened around 1:20 p.m. on Kamm Avenue at Jameson Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.
A Chevrolet SUV was traveling northbound on Jameson when it failed to stop at a posted sign and was hit by a commercial semi-truck traveling west on Kamm.
The impact of the collision sent both vehicles off the roadway and into an almond orchard.
Hernandez was driving the SUV and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The truck driver was hospitalized with minor injuries.
