1 Suffers Major Injuries in Corning Car Crash on Gallagher Avenue at State Highway 99w
Corning, California (January 23, 2022) – One person was hospitalized after being hurt in a two-vehicle collision that happened Sunday afternoon in Corning, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash occurred at around 2:55 p.m. on 22979 Gallagher Avenue at State Highway 99w.
According to Corning Police Department officers who responded to the scene, a brown Toyota Tacoma pickup truck collided with a sedan under unclear circumstances.
The pickup truck went about 500 yards off the roadway into an orchard, and the sedan was left blocking northbound Highway 99w. One of the vehicles also hit a PG&E pole.
An occupant of the pickup truck sustained major injuries. The patient was transported to Enloe Medical Center for treatment.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the collision.
