At Least 1 Seriously Hurt in Corona Car Accident on Cajalco Road near Temescal Canyon Road
Corona, California (January 3, 2022) – At least one person suffered major injuries when two cars collided Sunday afternoon in Corona, the California Highway Patrol said.
The wreck was reported at about 2:49 p.m. on eastbound Cajalco Road, just one and a half miles east of Temescal Canyon Road.
A white 2016 Honda Accord and another car were involved in the crash, blocking the roadway.
A party called authorities reporting that parties were injured in both vehicles and required firefighters to respond. The party also said that one of the drivers had possibly been drinking. That driver looked dazed and crawled out of the vehicle. The party reporting the accident described the driver as a heavyset Hispanic male with dark hair.
Emergency crews who responded to the scene said the crash resulted in major injuries but did not give more details.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
