4 Hospitalized after Corona Crash on 15 Freeway near El Cerrito Road
Corona, California (February 23, 2022) – Four people were hospitalized after two separate collisions, including one that resulted in major injuries, Tuesday night in Corona, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The collisions occurred at about 11:21 p.m. on northbound 15 Freeway near El Cerrito Road.
The report said four vehicles were involved in a collision, resulting in major injuries.
Two other vehicles also collided at the same scene around the same time, resulting in minor injuries.
Three people were transported to Riverside County Hospital and one person to Corona Regional Medical Center. The report did not give details on the injuries and condition of each patient.
Investigators did not immediately determine what led to the collisions, including several others that resulted in property damage only.
Multiple vehicles remained closed as investigators worked the scene.
