Johnathan Sepulveda Killed in San Diego Scooter Accident on Pershing Drive near Balboa Park
San Diego, California (September 20, 2021) – 34-year-old Johnathan Sepulveda has been identified as the San Diego scooter rider who died following a traffic collision in San Diego Saturday night, according to a report by the San Diego Medical Examiner.
The deadly crash took place on Pershing Drive shortly before 11:00 p.m. on September 18.
Sepulveda was riding his scooter in the bicycle lane when he was struck by a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old girl from behind.
The involved motorist, who was heading northeast on Pershing Drive, swerved into the bike lane prior to the collision.
Due to the impact, the electric scooter was pinned underneath the vehicle.

Johnathan ,who was moving several feet behind his brother-in-law and sister, died in the accident.
