Cory McGill Injured in Tulare Car Crash on Road 112 near Avenue 164
Tulare County, California (December 22, 2021) – Cory McGill, 41, of Tulare, was injured after being involved in a deadly collision early Thursday morning in Tulare County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash, between a car and a box truck, happened at about 3:30 a.m. Thursday, December 16, on Road 112, just south of Avenue 164.
According to the CHP, a 26-year-old Tipton man was driving a 2017 Toyota sedan southbound on Road 112 at a high rate of speed when he rear-ended a 2009 International box truck that was also traveling southbound on Road 112.

The driver of the Toyota was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Kaweah Health Medical Center, where he died while undergoing treatment. His name was not immediately disclosed.
McGill, who was the driver of the International, suffered minor injuries in the accident but was not hospitalized.
Authorities did not believe alcohol played a role in the crash.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
