33-Year-Old Man Dies in Vacaville Bicycle Accident on Elmira Road near Leisure Town Road
Vacaville, California (August 12, 2022) – A cyclist was hit and killed by a sedan as he was riding to work Thursday morning in Vacaville, as per a local news source.
The accident transpired at about 8:30 a.m. on Elmira Road near Leisure Town Road.
Authorities said a 33-year-old man from the community of Elmira was riding his bicycle west on Elmira Road when he was struck by the right front of a sedan from behind.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. He was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The driver of the vehicle stopped and remained at the scene.
Vacaville police said drugs or alcohol did not appear to have contributed to the accident.
