San Diego, CA. – A 62-year-old bicyclist was seriously injured by a hit-and-run driver Monday evening in San Diego, the San Diego Police Department reported.
The accident occurred around 7:26 p.m. in the 2400 block of F Street in the Golden Hill neighborhood.
According to police, a 62-year-old man was riding a bicycle when he was hit by a car described as a gray-colored small or mid-sized SUV with black rims.
The cyclist was hospitalized with serious injuries.
The car involved fled the scene westbound on F Street from 25th Street.
SDPD is seeking help from the public in locating the hit-and-run suspect, described as a 28- to 32-year-old man.
The driver had a female passenger at the time of the crash.
The suspect vehicle is believed to have damage to the front end. Evidence recovered at the scene indicated the car may be a Honda.
