The Concord woman was in the far right lane southbound lane riding toward Walnut Creek when she was hit by a GMC Yukon
Concord, CA. – Cynthia Perez, 34, has been identified as the bicyclist who died after being struck by a car last week in Concord.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened on Highway 242 just north of Oliveira Road.
The Concord woman was in the far right lane southbound lane riding toward Walnut Creek when she was hit by a GMC Yukon.
Perez died at the accident scene.
CHP says the driver stayed at the accident scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
