Cynthia Vang ID'd as Woman Killed in Fresno Accident on Church Avenue near West Avenue
Fresno, California (August 20, 2022) – Cynthia Vang, 30, of Fresno, has been identified as the woman who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash southwest of Fresno on Thursday afternoon, according to the Fresno County Coroner's Office
The wreck happened on Church Avenue near West Avenue at around 3:15 p.m. on August 18.
According to the report, a small Kia traveling on Church Avenue stopped to let an approaching GMC van pass before making a turn into a residence.
The Kia was then struck from behind by a Cadillac Escalade operated by a 41-year-old driver.
The impact of the crash pushed the Kia into the path of the GMC, and the GMC struck it on its passenger side.
Vang was a passenger in the Kia and was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
No other injuries were reported in the incident. The investigation is ongoing.

Fresno, California (August 18, 2022) – One person died following a crash involving multiple vehicles southwest of Fresno on Thursday afternoon, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The incident took place on Church Avenue near West Avenue at about 3:15 p.m.
According to the report, a car traveling on Church Avenue stopped to let an approaching van pass before making a turn off the road.
The car was then struck from the back by an SUV operated by a 41-year-old driver.
The force of the collision pushed the car into the path of the van and it was struck on its passenger side by the van.
A 31-year-old woman who was a passenger in the car was taken to a hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.
There was no update on the conditions of other involved parties.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
