Yuba Sutter, CA. – The Sutter County Sheriff's Office has identified the man who was killed in a head-on traffic collision on Sunday evening on State Route 113 in Yuba Sutter as DaJaun Collins, 19, of Marysville.
Authorities say Collins was driving a a 2003 gray Volkswagen sedan when he collided head-on with a a black Mercedes sedan driven by 37-year-old Kristina Ramos of Woodland.
Reportedly, Collins was heading northbound on Highway 113, south of Leisure Road, when he began to pass two other vehicles traveling northbound and drove into the patch of Kristina's Mercedes sedan.
In an effort to avoid colliding the Volkswagen, Ramos turned to the right, according to the CHP. Unfortunately, the two vehicles collided head-on.
Kristina died at the scene. Ramos was transported to UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries to her legs.

Yuba Sutter, CA. – A man was killed and one other person injured in a head-on collision on Highway 113 in Yuba Sutter Sunday evening.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened at around 6:40 p.m. on June 9 on the northbound State Route 113 south of Leisure Road.
Reportedly, a Volkswagen sedan was travelling northbound on the highway when for unknown reasons it swerved into the southbound lanes and collided head-on with a Mercedes sedan.
The male driver of the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene while the other motorist was hospitalized in UC Davis with broken legs.
The motorists were the lone occupants in their vehicles.
Neither drugs nor alcohol played a role in the wreck.
The identities of the victims were not immediately released.
