According to the WSP, Dale K. McAtee, 79, of Ferndale, was driving a red 2018 Chevrolet Corvette westbound on Highway 12 when he failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a grey 2023 Chevrolet Silverado

Pomeroy, WA.- Two people were injured in a car accident that occurred west of Pomeroy on Monday afternoon, according to the Washington State Patrol.
The incident took place on Highway 12 and SR 127 at around 1:08 p.m. July 21.
According to the WSP, Dale K. McAtee, 79, of Ferndale, was driving a red 2018 Chevrolet Corvette westbound on Highway 12 when he failed to yield at a stop sign and collided with a grey 2023 Chevrolet Silverado.
Dale McAtee was transported to Kadlec Regional Medical Center while his passenger, Patricia L. McAtee, 71, of Ferndale, was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center.
There was no update on the condition of the hospitalized patients.
The other driver, identified as Levi P. Walker, 44, of Pullman, was not injured.
The WSP reported that Dale was cited for failure to yield to the right-of-way.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
