Klamath County, Ore. – A 57-year-old man Dallas man was killed Monday evening following a two-vehicle crash on Highway 58 in Klamath County, according to Oregon State Police.
The deadly accident happened at about 7:50 p.m. on Monday, March 11, 2024, on westbound Highway 58 near milepost 68.
According to Oregon State Police, a preliminary investigation revealed that Malkit Singh (28) of Liberty Lake (WA), was driving a Kenworth commercial motor vehicle and trailer eastbound on 58 when the trailer slid into the westbound lane. A westbound Toyota Tacoma, driven by Michael Edward Davis, 67, of Dallas, crashed into the CMV trailer.
Michael Davis was fatally injured and was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger Kelly J Davis, 53, of Dallas, sustained minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital
Malkit Singh suffered minor injuries.
The operator of the Toyota (M. Davis) was declared deceased at the scene. A passenger in the Toyota, Kelly Jo Davis (53) of Dallas, suffered minor injuries and was transported to an area hospital.
The highway was impacted for approximately 7 hours during the on-scene investigation.
