Glendale, AZ – The police have released the name of the driver who died after a sedan and a tanker truck collided in Glendale Friday morning.
The deceased driver has been identified as 51-year-old Daniel Scott Sargent.
Authorities said Daniel Sargent was the driver of a sedan that collided with a tanker truck at about 9 a.m. on July 11, near Grand Avenue and Royal Palm Road.
Investigators said the tanker truck was trying to back into a business along Grand Avenue when it was struck the sedan.
Bystanders pulled Sargent from the vehicle and performed life-saving measures until medics arrived.
Unfortunately, Sargent succumbed to his injuries at the scene.

Glendale, AZ – A driver was killed in a collision involving a tanker truck in Glendale on Friday morning, according to the Glendale Police Department.
The wreck happened near Grand Avenue and Royal Palm Road at around 9 a.m. July 11.
According to the report, a tanker truck was trying to back into a business along Grand Avenue when it was struck by a small sedan.
Bystanders pulled the driver from the sedan and performed life-saving measures until medics arrived.
Despite the life-saving measures, the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Grand Avenue was shut down for hours as authorities worked at the scene.
The incident remained under investigation.
