David Pearson ID'd as Man Killed in Petaluma Motorcycle Crash at Lakeville Highway and Stage Gulch Road

Petaluma, California (August 31, 2021) – The motorcyclist who was killed in a crash involving a big rig at an intersection near Petaluma Friday morning has been identified as David Pearson, 67, of Plymouth, Massachusetts, according to the Sonoma County Sheriff's Office.
The wreck happened at about 11:05 a.m. August 27, at the intersection of Lakeville Highway and Stage Gulch Road.
Pearson was riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle west on Stage Gulch Road when he failed to stop for the posted stop sign at the intersection and collided with the side of a big rig tanker truck.

Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found Pearson lying in the roadway. Sadly, he was pronounced dead at the scene
The crash caused a closure of Lakeville Highway in both directions as authorities worked to clear the scene.
