David Roach ID'd as Man Killed in Oildale Accident on West China Grade Loop and McCray Street

Oildale, California (July 27, 2022) – David Allen Roach, 43, has been identified as the man who died in a traffic collision in Oildale earlier this month, according to the Kern County Coroner's Office.
The wreck happened on West China Grade Loop and McCray Street on July 12.
According to authorities, Roach was driving a Chevrolet Silverado west on West China Grade Loop when he was involved in a collision with a vehicle traveling north on McCray Street.
Roach was reportedly not wearing his seatbelt and died following the accident.
The authorities are investigating the deadly car accident.

Bakersfield, California (July 13, 2022) – A man died, and a woman was hospitalized with severe injuries after a crash on China Grade Loop in Bakersfield, as per a local news source.
The collision occurred Tuesday at the intersection with McCray Street near Oildale.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a 43-year-old Bakersfield man was driving his Chevy Silverado pickup truck west on China Grade Loop when he collided with a Volvo XC90 driven by 52-year-old Boni Marie Sturges, of Bakersfield.
The man was not wearing his seatbelt at the time of the crash. He was ejected, sustaining fatal injuries. First responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
Boni Sturges was seriously injured in the accident and was transported to Kern Medical.
CHP is investigating the cause of the accident.
