David Schulte Dies in Cholame Accident on Highway 46 near Jack Ranch
Cholame, California (February 2, 2022) – The man who was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 46 in Cholame on Monday afternoon has been identified as David Allan Schulte, 60, of Exeter, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened near Jack Ranch shortly after noon on Monday, January 31.
CHP said Jose T. Morales, 44, of Parlier was operating a GMC Yukon west on Highway 46 when he crossed into the path of oncoming traffic and sideswiped a Jeep Grand Cherokee that was pulling a utility trailer.
The Yukon then collided head-on with a Dodge 3500 driven by Schulte.
David Schulte Dies in Chalomes Car Collision
A Toyota Tacoma drifted to avoid the collision and slammed through a barbed wire fence.
Schulte died following the collision.
One person sustained major injuries while two others had minor injuries.
The wreck is under investigation.
