David Spink Killed in Barstow Crash on I-15 and L Street
David Spink, California (January 9, 2022) – David Spink, a fire engineer at the Barstow Fire Protection District, died after being involved in a traffic collision on the Interstate 15 Freeway in Barstow on December 5.
According to the authorities, the collision occurred just after 3:26 a.m. at L Street as the frefighters were at the scene of an earlier collision.
As they were preparing to leave the scene, Spink was hit by a vehicle on the freeway.

Authorities said Spink suffered life-threatening injuries in the collision and was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
Spink reportedly succumbed to his injuries on January 9.
No further details were released.
The incident is under investigation.
