At Least 1 Killed in Crash on 80 Freeway near Pedrick Road in Dixon

Dixon, California (May 10, 2022) – A deadly Dixon car crash forced the closure of all westbound lanes of 80 Freeway Tuesday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision happened at about 6:53 a.m. on the westbound side of the freeway near Pedrick Road.
Several vehicles, including a Ford F-450 ferrying lots of equipment and a big rig, were involved in the crash.
The vehicles, wheelbarrows, buckets and work equipment were blocking traffic lanes after the incident. Sand was also spread all over the roadway.

Solano County firefighters, paramedics and Caltrans responded to the scene shortly after the accident.
The CHP report said at least one person died in the crash.
Authorities closed all westbound lanes of the freeway at Pedrick Road and issued a SigAlert without an estimated time of reopening. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes.
The cause of the crash was not immediately determined.
