Rider Killed in Westmont Motorcycle Crash near W Imperial Highway and Denker Avenue
Westmont, California (September 15, 2022) – A motorcyclist died in a Thursday afternoon collision that happened near Westmont, in South Los Angeles, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash took place at about 5:40 p.m. near W Imperial Highway and Denker Avenue.
According to CHP, a motorcycle collided with a gray Nissan Versa under unclear circumstances. Several other vehicles were also possibly involved in the accident.
The motorcyclist sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene at 5:40 p.m.
The report mentioned that three drivers and two passengers were transported to hospitals with minor injuries, but the report did not mention how the vehicles they occupied were involved in the accident.
The South Los Angeles Sheriff's Station was requested to send three deputies to help control traffic in the area.
The motorcycle and the Nissan were towed away from the scene.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
