Deepika Vasisht Among 2 Killed in Foster City Accident on State Highway 92 near Foster City Boulevard
Foster City, California (August 8, 2022) – Deepika Vasisht, 36, of Hayward, was among two people killed in a traffic collision that took place in Foster City on Friday morning, according to the San Mateo County Coroner's Office.
The collision happened on State Highway 92, just east of Foster City Boulevard shortly after 9:45 a.m. on August 5.
According to authorities, a Ford Fusion heading west on the highway reportedly drifted across the traffic lanes and collided with a big rig parked on the right-hand shoulder.
The Ford ended up in a ditch after the collision.
Vasisht was among two occupants of the Ford who died in the accident.
A third female occupant of the Ford was taken to hospital with unspecified injuries.
Further details on the deadly accident were not immediately released.
An investigation into the collision is ongoing.
