Dennis Nickell Dies in Corning Motorcycle Crash on North Street

Corning, California (September 17, 2022) – Dennis Wayne Nickell, 71, of Corning, died when the motorcycle he was riding collided with a pedestrian in Corning on Saturday morning, according to the authorities.
The accident happened in the 600 block of North Street just before 11:32 a.m.
Authorities said Nickell was riding a motorcycle eastbound on North Street when he collided with a 17-year-old who was trying to walk across the street in an unsafe way.
Nickell was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The teen was taken to a hospital with a possible broken ankle and a cut to his face.
Authorities believe speed was a factor in the incident.
An investigation into the deadly Corning crash is ongoing.
