Desert Center, CA: 2 Hurt after Car Rear-Ends Truck on Interstate 10

Desert Center, California (December 28, 2021) – Two people were injured when a car slammed into the back of a big rig Monday morning in Desert Center, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The rear-end crash happened just after 5:34 a.m. Monday, December 27, on the Freeway near State Route 177, also known as Rice Road.

CHP said a passenger vehicle rear-ended a big rig on the freeway.

The occupants of the passenger vehicle were partially trapped and had to be extricated by firefighters.

One person sustained moderate injuries while another patient had minor injuries.

No further details about the crash were immediately provided.

The accident remains under investigation.
