4 Hospitalized after Desert Hot Springs Crash on 20th Street and Palm Drive
Desert Hot Springs, California (October 10, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday morning suspected DUI accident that left four people, including two children, injured in Desert Hot Springs.
The accident occurred at about 2:31 a.m. on 20th Street and Palm Drive.
According to the police, a white Lexus driven by a 21-year-old Desert Hot Springs man was headed westbound on 20th Street when it allegedly ran a stop sign and broadsided a white Chevrolet that was traveling southbound on Palm Drive.
Four Hurt in DUI Crash on 20th Street
The driver of the Lexus was taken to a hospital with major injuries.
The driver of the Chevrolet, a 36-year-old woman from Thousand Palms, and her two children, complained of pain and were all hospitalized.
Intoxication was suspected of having played a role in the mishap.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
