Woman Killed, Man Seriously Injured in Desert Hot Springs Head-On Crash on Little Morongo Road near Dillon Road

Desert Hot Springs, California (September 22, 2021) – A woman was killed and a man was seriously injured late Tuesday night in a fiery head-on collision in Desert Hot Springs, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The deadly two-car wreck happened at around 10:46 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, on Little Morongo Road between Dillon Road and Two Bunch Palms.
A 20-year-old Desert Hot Springs woman was driving a 1999 Lexus GS 300 northbound on Little Morongo Road when she swerved into the opposite lane to pass another vehicle, the CHP said.
For unknown reasons, the Lexus collided head-on with a southbound Toyota Corolla driven by a man.

The driver of the Lexus was pronounced dead at the scene. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of family.
The Toyota driver sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital. His current condition was not immediately disclosed.
Alcohol and/or drugs were not considered factors in the collision, which remains under investigation.
