65-Year-Old Man Killed, Destiny Fierros Arrested after Oceanside Pedestrian Accident at El Camino Real and Vista Way
Oceanside, California (August 7, 2021) – A driver was arrested following an accident that left a pedestrian dead in Oceanside on Friday night, according to police.
The incident took place shortly before 9:00 p.m. August 6, at El Camino Real and Vista Way.
According to the police report, Destiny Fierros was suspected of running a red light traveling north on El Camino Real and crashed into a pedestrian walking across El Camino Real in a marked crosswalk.
Destiny Fierros Arrested after Pedestrian Killed in Oceanside Crash
The victim, a 65-year-old man, died in the crash. The identity of the pedestrian has not been released pending notification of next kin.
Fierros stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. She was arrested on suspicion of vehicular manslaughter.
The accident remains under investigation.
