Diego Valencia ID'd as Man Killed in Valencia Crash on 5 Freeway near Highway 126
Valencia, California (February 26, 2022) – Diego Valencia, 23, of Castaic has been identified as the man who was killed in a Tuesday night two-vehicle accident in Valencia, according to the Los Angeles County Coroner's office.
The deadly accident happened at about 10:00 p.m., on February 22, on the 5 Freeway just south of Highway 126.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Valencia was driving a 2002 Volkswagen Golf when, for unknown reasons, he crashed into the center median concrete barrier, then came to a rest, perpendicular in the roadway.
Unfortunately, a 2019 Hyundai Ioniq reportedly crashed into the Volkswagen.
Sadly, Valencia was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
