A woman died after being hit by a car at Adams Avenue and Pinecreek Drive in Costa Mesa on Friday

Costa Mesa, Calif. – A woman died after being struck by a car in Costa Mesa on Friday morning.
The fatal collision happened at Adams Avenue and Pinecreek Drive at around 6 a.m., according to Costa Mesa police.
Dolores Pliego, 61, was reportedly struck by a car on the roadway in unclear circumstances.
The Costa Mesa woman was killed in the accident.
The driver who struck the woman stayed at the scene and cooperated with the police.
More details about the accident were not released.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
