One Critically Hurt in Fallbrook Accident on Interstate 15 near Mission Road
Fallbrook, California (August 4, 2022) – One person sustained critical injuries in a collision involving a semi-truck on Wednesday evening in Fallbrook, according to the authorities.
The wreck happened at about 6:20 p.m. on August 3, on Interstate 15 near Mission Road.
A Volkswagen Golf TDI hatchback reportedly crashed into the back of a big rig and became stuck beneath the rear of the semi's trailer.
The woman driving the hatchback was freed from the wreckage by firefighters and was taken to Palomar Medical Center in Escondido with life-threatening injuries.
The two right lanes of the freeway were shut down for nearly two hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
The CHP is investigating the accident.
