Driver Dies After Rear-Ending Semi-Truck on Road 80 in Tulare County

, California (November 18, 2021) – A driver died after his car slammed into the back of a semi- south of in County Wednesday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The deadly crash occurred just after 10:30 p.m. Wednesday, November 17, at the intersection of Road 80 and Avenue 384.

CHP said a tractor-trailer had slowed for a stoplight when it was struck from behind by a Toyota Camry.

Following the collision, two stoplights at the intersection were knocked down.

Deadly Semi-Truck, Car Crash in Tulare County

The male driver of the Camry was pronounced dead at the scene. His name was being withheld pending notification of next of kin.

The driver of the semi-truck did not suffer any injuries.

No further details regarding the collision were immediately provided.
