CHP said an 83-year-old woman from Cambria was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry eastbound on Tassajara Creek Road when she pulled out in front of a 2017 Honda Civic traveling south on Highway 101

Santa Margarita, CA – An elderly driver was injured in collision between two vehicles near Santa Margarita on Tuesday morning.
According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the incident took place on Highway 101 at Tassajara Creek Road at about 8:50 a.m.
CHP said an 83-year-old woman from Cambria was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry eastbound on Tassajara Creek Road when she pulled out in front of a 2017 Honda Civic traveling south on Highway 101.
The two vehicles crashed and the elderly driver was taken to Sierra Vista Regional Medical Center with significant injuries.
The other driver, a 47-year-old Atascadero man, was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Drugs and alcohol were not suspected in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
