The wreck occurred around 2:20 p.m. on W Rosamond Boulevard, west of 45th Street West.
Bakersfield, CA. – One person died, and another suffered major injuries in a head-on collision that happened Tuesday afternoon near Rosamond, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred around 2:20 p.m. on W Rosamond Boulevard, west of 45th Street West.
According to authorities, a 2016 Hyundai and a 2004 Honda were involved in the accident. The vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on Rosamond Boulevard when the accident occurred.
Both drivers, who were only identified as men, were transported to Antelope Valley Hospital with major injuries.
One of them later died at the hospital.
The other man remained hospitalized in an unknown condition.
The CHP Mojave Area Office is investigating the possibility that impairment was a factor contributing to the accident.
