On-Duty Stanislaus Sheriff's Deputy and 37-Year-Old Woman Injured in Modesto Car Crash on Highway 99 at Kiernan Avenue Off-Ramp
Modesto, California (December 1, 2021) – An on-duty Stanislaus County sheriff's deputy and a civilian were injured in a traffic accident that happened Tuesday afternoon in Modesto, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, on Highway 99 at the Kiernan Avenue exit.
The CHP said the deputy was driving his cruiser northbound on Highway 99 and got off at the Kiernan Avenue off-ramp while an Acura, driven by a 37-year-old woman, was traveling eastbound on Kiernan Avenue.
As the deputy pulled into the intersection exit, his cruiser was hit on the driver's side by the Acura.

The deputy and the Acura driver suffered minor injuries but were not hospitalized for further treatment.
