Dwayne Faughn ID'd as Person Killed in Eureka Car Accident on State Route 255 near Startare Drive
Eureka, California (January 25, 2022) – Dwayne Faughn, 49, of Samoa has been identified as the man who was killed in a collision on Monday night in Eureka, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident happened on State Route 255 near Startare Drive on Monday, January 24.
According to CHP, Faughn was driving a 2000 Lexus south on SR 255 when he collided head-on with an oncoming 2020 Jeep.
Shortly after, a southbound 2008 Ford collided into the crashed vehicles.
Dwayne Faughn Identified as Man Killed in Eureka Car Accident
Faughn was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene due to the crash.
A six-year-old girl who was a passenger in the Lexus and the two occupants of the Jeep, sustained major injuries and were all taken to St. Joseph Hospital for treatment.
The operator of the Ford was treated for minor injuries.
The California Highway Patrol is handling the investigation.
