Maribel Amador-Varela Killed in East Los Angeles Crash at E Olympic Boulevard and Garfield Avenue
East Los Angeles, California (October 7, 2021) – 56-year-old Maribel Amador-Varela has been identified by the Los Angeles County Coroner as one of the two people who were killed in an East Los Angeles car crash on Thursday night.
According to the California Highway Patrol, three vehicles collided under unclear circumstances near E Olympic Boulevard and Garfield Avenue at around 9:49 p.m. October 7.
One of the cars reportedly caught fire after the collision.

Amador-Varela and a second person whose identity was withheld were killed in the accident.
Two other people were injured in the accident.
No other details were released, but CHP is investigating.
