Monterey, CA. – Edward Hyun Kang, 42, of Moraga, has been identified by the Monterey County Sheriff's Office as the pedestrian who was fatally struck by a car on Sunday morning in Castroville.
The pedestrian accident happened around 4:28 a.m. on Espinosa Road near Highway 183, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The man was in the westbound lane of the highway and was struck by a black Mercedes A220.
The man was pronounced dead at the accident scene.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
