Edward Vazquez ID'd as Teen Bicyclist Killed in Corona Crash at Lincoln Avenue and Citron Street
Corona, California (January 15, 2022) – The Riverside County Sheriff-Coroner's Bureau has identified the young bicyclist who was struck and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Corona on Thursday afternoon.
Edward Vazquez, 13, of Corona, died in the crash that happened at around 4:30 p.m. January 13 in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Citron Street.
Police said Vazquez was riding a bike on the roadway when he was struck by a back Kia Soul at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Citron Street.
Coroner Identifies Teen Killed in Corona Bicycle Crash
Vazquez was rushed to Riverside Community Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Police said the driver of the Kia stayed at the scene and reportedly cooperated with the authorities.
The identities of the involved parties were not released.
The Corona Police Department is investigating the crash.
