Passenger, 83, Killed in El Cajon Car Accident at Broadway and Graves Avenue

El Cajon, California (October 3, 2021) – One person was killed in an accident at an intersection in El Cajon on Sunday evening, according to El Cajon police.
At around 5:54 p.m., police and paramedics responded to reports of a crash at Broadway and Graves Avenue. According to the police, a dark-colored sedan traveling west on Broadway made a southbound turn on Graves Avenue and was hit on the passenger side by a white pickup truck that was going east on Broadway.
An 83-year-old man who was a passenger in the sedan was rushed to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The 86-year-old female driver of the sedan sustained minor injuries.
The male driver of the truck was uninjured.
Alcohol and drugs were not suspected to have played a role in the accident.
The El Cajon Police Department is handling the investigation.
