Three People Hospitalized after Highway 1 Accident in El Granada
El Granada, California (March 16, 2022) – Three people were hospitalized Monday afternoon following a collision between a car and a cement truck in El Granada, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 2:31 p.m. on March 14 on Highway 1 near Half Moon Bay and just north of Sam's Chowder House.
CHP said a Ford Flex collided with a cement truck on Highway 1 near Half Moon Bay for unknown reasons.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and rendered aid to the parties involved. The driver of the Ford Flex was airlifted to a hospital in unknown condition, while two other people were transported to the hospital with unspecified injuries.
Authorities blocked Highway 1 in both directions between Coronado Street and Capistrano as the investigation took place.
Motorists were being diverted away from the scene of the accident.
