Hayward, Calif. – An elderly pedestrian was hit and killed by a vehicle at an intersection in Hayward on Friday morning, according to the Hayward Police Department.
The crash took place at Hesperian Boulevard and Bartlett Avenue at about 7:46 a.m.
A 91-year-old man was reportedly hit by a vehicle at the intersection under unclear circumstances.
Despite life-saving measures by the emergency crews, the pedestrian died at the scene.
The driver was unhurt and stayed at the scene.
Further details on the crash were not immediately released.
The crash is under investigation.
