Four vehicles collided in the eastbound lanes of the highway just west of 34th Street

Sacramento, Calif. – Minor injuries were reported in a multi-vehicle collision involving an Eldorado County Sheriff's Office detective that happened late Friday afternoon in Sacramento, the California Highway Patrol said.
The pileup was reported around 5:38 p.m. on eastbound Highway 50, just west of 34th Street.
The CHP report said four vehicles were involved in the accident.
A detective from the Eldorado County Sheriff's Office was involved and requested medical attention.
Sacramento firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and evaluated the parties at the scene.
Only minor injuries were reported, but it was not clear how many people were hurt and if anyone was hospitalized.
CHP officers are investigating the collision.
