Valdez was ejected from the bike, landed in the middle of the highway, and was struck by another vehicle.

Phoenix, Ariz. – Eleazar Valdez Jr., 18, has been identified as the man who was killed in a motorcycle accident on Wednesday night in Phoenix.
The fatal collision happened on Interstate 17 near Union Hills Drive at around 7:30 p.m.
Valdez was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle north when he was rear-ended by a speeding 2013 Lincoln MKZ driven by 29-year-old Marc David Distel.
The motorcycle became wedged in the hood of the car and both continued traveling for about a quarter mile.
Valdez was ejected from the bike, landed in the middle of the highway, and was struck by another vehicle.
The car came to a stop at the shoulder of the highway but Distel did not stay at the scene.
Valdez was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
Police say Distel contacted DPS on Thursday and admitted to being the one driving the car.
He said he was under several medications at the time of the accident.
Distel was arrested and booked into jail on suspicion of manslaughter and leaving the scene of the accident.
The accident remains under investigation.
